Super Boof autoflower

The autoflower version is the simplest way into a strain otherwise sold as photoperiods. An autoflower runs on its own clock from seed to harvest, no light schedule to flip and no timing mistake to make, and this one turns around quickly. It runs a little taller than the photoperiods, around 150 cm, so give it a touch more room. It keeps the strength the strain is known for, listing 28% THC, right alongside the photoperiods, with sweet earth and citrus on the nose and resin to match. If you want Super Boof without a light cycle, this is the version to look at; if you want the biggest listed yield or more versions to choose from, the photoperiods are the place to look.

How Super Boof grows

Super Boof is a small, newer family, four versions, and they share one defining trait: resin, and a lot of it. Fast Buds describe the resin production on their auto as absurd, and World Wide Cultivars call their photoperiod resin-heavy and photogenic, which they say recommends it to extract lovers as much as to smokers. So whichever you grow, trim with sharp blades and expect to wipe them down as you work rather than after.

The photoperiods with a listed height sit at 120 and 130 cm, easy enough indoors, and the auto at 150 cm; heights across the family run 120–150 cm, so no great headroom is required. Yields vary: the lightest photoperiod is listed at 305 to 336 g/m²; the auto at 550 to 650 g/m²; and Growers Choice's photoperiod tops the page at 671. Barney's feminized is the quickest photoperiod at 56 days and lists the top THC on the page, 32%; the other two photoperiods both list 60 days in flower, and the auto 63 days from seed at 28% THC, so every version finishes within nine weeks.

Super Boof is a named cross, and the catalogue agrees on its make-up. The pairing is Black Cherry Punch crossed with Tropicana Cookies, some listings shortening it to Cherry Punch and Tropicana Cookies, the two dessert lines the name is built on. The autoflower keeps that Super Boof character on an automatic clock. Breeders split her close to even throughout, most at 50/50 with one listed a touch indica at 60/40, so the plant sits between the two camps rather than in either.
