That makes an autoflowering Blue Dream one of the easier ways into the strain, and there are 4 autos on this page. Seed-to-harvest times run 56–74 days, so read that figure before you buy. They sit around 150 cm, and keep the sweet Blue Dream character: Humboldt describe theirs as hazy and fruity. Listed THC on the autos is the gentler end of the family, 13–15%, well below 19–26% on the photoperiods, so they trade strength for simplicity. CBD Blue Dream

1 Blue Dream version is bred the other way: a Blue Dream crossed with a California Orange CBD line, so the CBD comes up to sit nearer the THC. On this page it lands around 10% CBD against roughly 10% THC, so the effect stays gentler than a 20%-plus version. It suits a grower who wants the character of the classic with less of the hit. That is what growers report, not a promise from us. The grow sits in the same range as the rest; the difference is in the chemistry, not the calendar.

How Blue Dream grows

Blue Dream runs vigorous and sativa-leaning, and the first thing to plan for is height. Most versions sit in a workable band, but heights run 120–400 cm, and the tall end is a photoperiod, not an auto. Humboldt's two photoperiods top it, both listed at 400 cm, and their note on the CBD cross calls it a plant for a greenhouse or open ground rather than a modest tent. If your ceiling is fixed, read the height column before anything else, and give the taller cuts their headroom.

She builds weight when you give her room. Barney's describe theirs as vigorous and resinous, the sort that rewards a grower who lets her fill out, listed at 68 days and 120 cm. The autos take the pressure off: Humboldt rate their Blue Dream Auto easier to grow than its photoperiod parent. Herbies say their auto grows with ease almost anywhere, forgiving of climate and asking little coddling. The two quickest autos, Seedkeepers' and World Wide Cultivars', are listed at 56 days from seed.

What you don't trade away is the clarity. Two of the four autos are described with the fruity, tea-and-berry character and the clear-headed lift. Across the board this is a plant that rewards patience with the tall ones and steady, unflustered care over heroics. Keep the basics even and let her have her height.

Where Blue Dream comes from

Blue Dream is a named cross rather than an old landrace, and the breeders do not fully agree on how it was built. Most point to Blueberry crossed with a Haze, Super Silver Haze in three listings, Haze in three others, and Barney's Farm say the Blueberry supplies the sweetness and fruit, the Super Silver Haze the vigour. Herbies' auto takes a different road to the name entirely, drawn from Super Lemon Haze and Lemon Skunk, a citrus-led reworking rather than the usual berry story. Three of the four autoflowering versions add Ruderalis. The indica-to-sativa split is quoted around 30/70 across the catalogue, which places her firmly on the sativa side whoever is doing the crossing.
