Two thousand seven hundred genetics is too many to scroll, and the names tell you nothing about what is in the jar. The Seed Finder skips the list. Seb walks you through a quick tasting — you react to flavours and effects, like or pass — and narrows 2,700-plus strains down to a shortlist that fits what you are actually after. No filters to set, no breeder knowledge needed; you answer what sounds good. It runs off the Herbies catalogue, refreshed periodically, so the shortlist is drawn from real seeds with a link out to each, rather than names pulled from the air.
Questions
How does the Seed Finder pick for me?
You react to flavours and effects as Seb offers them — yes, no, more like this — and it narrows the field with each answer, the way a good shop hand reads you by your reactions rather than a form. A handful of taps and you have a shortlist drawn from 2,700-plus genetics, closer to what you want with each one.
Do I need to know strains or breeders already?
Not at all — that is the point. You never have to know a single strain name. You answer what sounds good to smoke and to grow, and the finder does the matching. It is built for someone standing at the very start with no idea where to begin, as much as for the collector who knows the field.
Are the results seeds I can actually buy?
Yes — the shortlist is drawn from the Herbies catalogue, refreshed periodically, and each result links straight out to buy. It does not show live stock, so check the shop for availability before you commit. Those “Buy seeds” links to Herbies are affiliate links; they never change what the finder shows you, or the order it shows it in.
Is it free, and does it save anything?
Free, and no account. The ones you like go into the Stash, kept on this device — so your picks are saved without any sign-up, though clearing the browser or switching phones will lose them. Run it as often as you like; moods change and the shortlist changes with your answers, and anything you want to keep is one tap into the Stash.
