Seb's take

Seb Silverback

The same Grape Ape and Grapefruit cross, grown here for scale — 500 to 700g/sq.m indoors in eight to nine weeks, or up to 2.5kg per plant outdoors by early October. Berry, candy, sweet fruit on the nose; a calming, happy, hungry body high underneath. Twenty-five per cent THC, and generous with it.

Where it comes from

Kera Seeds took the Grape Ape and Grapefruit cross that gives Z its name and grew it here for scale — indica-leaning at 60% to 40% sativa. Grape Ape brings the dense, purple-tinged body and the berry sweetness; Grapefruit the citric lift. Kera bred this line for phenomenal results in both indoor and outdoor settings, and the record makes plain they were pleased with the yields the pairing delivered during development.

Nose & flavour

Berry and candy lead, sweet fruit front and centre — the Grape Ape side speaking loudest, with the Grapefruit parent lifting a citric brightness underneath. It is a dessert-forward, sugary nose, the sort that reads as confectionery before cannabis, held in dense and resin-loaded flowers. A rich, sweet aromatic profile with no rough edges to it, and it carries well in the tightly packed buds.

The high

A calming, happy body high with a hungry edge, uplifting through the middle — the weight settling into the body while the mood stays bright and the appetite makes itself known. It is an easygoing, indica-leaning experience, comfortable rather than heavy, sociable rather than solitary. Line up something to eat before you begin. THC sits at 25%, so the body weight has real substance behind the sweetness.

Growing it

A feminized plant of medium stature outdoors reaching 1.4 to 1.7m, 140 to 170cm, grown in both indoor and outdoor settings with strong results. Indoor flowering comes through fast — eight to nine weeks, 56 to 63 days — delivering a heavy 500 to 700 g/m² of dense, resin-loaded flower. Outdoors she finishes in early October at up to 2 to 2.5kg per plant, which is a considerable haul. The resin means clean scissors. THC 25%, with 1% CBD alongside.
