Utopia Haze — Barney's Farm

Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A Brazilian landrace, backcrossed and stabilised by Barney's Farm into something considerably more manageable — mint, citrus and floral on the nose. Ninety percent Sativa, the high runs uplifting, energetic and aroused, and she still finishes in a relatively fast 10 to 11 weeks. Give her the headroom.

Growing Utopia Haze: what to expect

Feminized photoperiod seed: every plant a female, and flowering starts when you change the lights — which puts the calendar in your hands. The photoperiod lesson covers using that control well.

Flowering takes 10 weeks — she is not to be hurried. Patience is the price of entry; the flowering guide will help you pay it gracefully.

A middling 110 cm or so at maturity — tall enough to yield, short enough to manage. Standard tent territory; the light planner sorts the hanging height.

The yield is, in plain terms, heavy — 650 g/m² when she's looked after. Branches will need support before they need sympathy; see supporting heavy colas.

Breeder figures put THC around 22% — firmly in the strong band. The number speaks for itself; we'll not add adjectives to it.

The aroma is citrus-forward: zest first, everything else in its wake.

The dominant note in the reviews is uplifting; daytime company, by most accounts.
