How to grow Amnesia Haze Auto
Taste
Seb's take
An intricate history by the breeder's own account — Southeast Asia, Jamaica and Hawaii all contributing to a crisp Sativa character, with a sprinkle of Afghani genetics thrown in purely to speed up maturity. Lemon, citrus and fruit on the nose, and a high that stays happy, focused and energetic throughout.
Where it comes from
Amnesia Haze crossed with Barney's own BF Super Auto #1, and the record spins the lineage out to the tropics: Southeast Asia, Jamaica and Hawaii all feeding the crisp sativa character, with a measure of Afghani worked in for one specific purpose, to hasten maturity, which is precisely what an autoflower needs. It is a neat piece of breeding logic. The equatorial parents supply the haze personality; the Afghani and the autoflowering partner supply the speed the equator never could. An intricate history, by the breeder's own telling, and a purposeful one.
Nose & flavour
Lemon leads, bright and clean, with citrus and a general fruitiness filling in behind, a crisp, zesty nose that reflects the tropical parentage the record makes so much of. There is little earth or funk to weigh it down; this is the fresh, sharp end of the haze spectrum. An inviting aroma, and a lively one, that carries the sativa character straight to the nose.
The high
Happy, focused and energetic throughout, a clear, purposeful sort of lift that keeps the head sharp and the mood high, exactly the crisp sativa the tropical lineage promises. At 21% THC it has the substance to hold that clarity for a good while. There is little sedation to it; this is a daytime plant to its core, more suited to getting on with things than to setting them down.
Growing it
Well behaved for a haze, and quick with it. She holds to around 100cm, a tidy medium that suits most tents without a fight, and flowers in 65 to 70 days, brisk for the pedigree, thanks to that dash of Afghani. The harvest is heavy for an autoflower at 600g/m². A little under a per cent of CBD sits alongside the THC. Feminized autoflower seed keeps the pack and the schedule simple. Between the modest height, the short calendar and the weight, she is among the more obliging haze autos to keep.
