How to grow Sweet Cherry Kush
Taste
Seb's take
Durban and Hindu Kush, folded into OG Kush, produce a stocky, confident plant with dense flowers and the occasional purple accent late in bloom. Wood, pine, and berry on the nose lead into a high that opens with a cerebral, creative spark before settling into a weightless, soothing body presence.
Where it comes from
Sensi Seeds folded Durban and Hindu Kush into OG Kush to make Sweet Cherry Kush, a 70 per cent indica photoperiod hybrid. The Durban lends a touch of its African sativa brightness, the Hindu Kush the mountain heaviness and the OG Kush the fuel and structure, and between them they produce a plant that grows stocky and confident. Heavy flowers form along sturdy branches, and the buds run dense and resin-rich, often accented with subtle purple tones late in bloom. A well-composed cross with a considered pedigree behind it.
Nose & flavour
Wood and pine lead the nose, grounding it in the Kush heritage, with a berry sweetness up top that lifts and brightens the aroma. The berry is the pleasant surprise over the earthy, piney base, giving the whole a fruited edge the parentage might not lead you to expect. A layered, agreeable scent rather than a simple one, carried on dense, resin-rich buds tinged with purple late on.
The high
The smoke opens with a cerebral spark that boosts the mood and the creativity, then settles into a soothing body presence that feels weightless rather than heavy. It is a well-balanced high, the head engaged early and the body eased later, neither half overruling the other. Uplifting, happy and creative company, well suited to relaxed evenings, creative downtime or a social moment that drifts gently into quieter territory.
Growing it
A stocky, confident plant reaching roughly 120 to 140cm, producing heavy flowers along sturdy branches well able to hold their weight. Flowering runs 55 to 60 days, and the buds run dense and resin-rich, often accented with subtle purple tones as the bloom finishes. The yield is a solid 488 to 549 g/m², and THC runs a serious 19 to 23 per cent with a touch of CBD at 1 per cent. A well-structured, productive indica-dominant hybrid that rewards a clean finish with colour, weight and frost alike.
