How to grow Sweet Valley Kush
Taste
Seb's take
Two Kush lines meeting in the name twice over, Afghan and Hindu, and the result stays true to type: short, dense and easy to keep discreet. Sweet on the nose with earth and berry beneath; the effect is long, potent relaxation that wakes the appetite rather than the wit.
Where it comes from
Green House Seeds paired Afghan Kush with Hindu Kush — two Kush lines meeting in the name twice over, which tells you plainly where the character comes from. Both are mountain indicas, and the result stays true to type: short, dense and easy to keep out of sight. Eighty percent indica, with the sativa barely getting a word in. A commercial sort of plant, unfussy in the care and reliable in the return.
Nose & flavour
The nose is sweet with an earthy background — the Kush signature — and a berry note lifting it above the merely rustic. Dense, resinous buds hold the aroma well. Earth and sweetness in the main, the berry keeping it interesting. A classic Kush profile, grounded and rich rather than bright.
The high
At better than twenty-two percent THC the effect is a long, potent relaxation — a proper stone that settles deep and stays a while. Happy with it, and famously rousing to the appetite, so keep the fridge stocked before rather than after. It wakes the appetite rather than the wit. The sitting-down sort, and unapologetically so.
Growing it
An easy commercial grower: indica-structured, short enough to keep discreet, and content in a small indoor grow-box or out in the open alike. Flowering runs fifty-six to sixty-three days for a heavy 700 g/m² of dense, resinous bud — impressive output for so compact a plant. No exact height is recorded, so I won't pin one down, but the breeder's talk of small stature suits the space-limited grower. Unpretentious in care, generous in return.
