How to grow Super Pineapple Haze
Taste
Seb's take
Pineapple and Pursang meet in a smooth smoke carrying spice alongside the fruit. The effect balances an uplifting head against a relaxed body, though the plant grows with enough ambition that topping is not so much advice as a requirement.
Where it comes from
Garden Of Green crossed Pineapple with Pursang for this 85 per cent sativa, a heady plant that carries its fruit heritage on the front of its name. The Pineapple lends the tropical sweetness the strain is built around, while the near-total sativa dominance sets the pace and the stature. A plant of real ambition in the grow room, and one whose smoothness belies the vigour of its growth.
Nose & flavour
The taste is smooth, carrying clear hints of pineapple with a thread of spice woven through it. The fruit is the bright, obvious lead, exactly as the name promises, and the spice gives it a length and warmth that keeps it from reading as a simple sweet. An agreeable, tropical aroma delivered without any harshness, the smoothness as much a feature as the fruit itself.
The high
The effect provides an uplifting sensation set against a relaxing feeling beneath it, the head lifted and the body eased at once. It is a balanced high rather than a lopsided one, the sativa brightness keeping the mood going while a gentler undertone settles things. Pleasant, well-proportioned company that lifts without scattering and relaxes without flattening.
Growing it
The record gives no height, but the temperament tells the tale: she grows with enough ambition that topping is less a suggestion than a requirement, and a grower who skips it may find the plant gets out of control quickly. Flowering runs 60 to 65 days, and the yield is a solid 500 to 550 g/m². THC sits at 17.8 per cent, with a little CBD at 0.67. A vigorous, tall-inclined sativa that rewards a firm hand early and returns well for the discipline.
