Seb Silverback

Lemon 5 - a lemony phenotype of Amnesia - crossed with a selected autoflowering Lemon Haze, and built to grow just about anywhere, balcony to greenhouse. Spiced lemon and citrus dominate the nose; the high is uplifting, relaxed, and happy. Ready in ten to eleven weeks from seed, and leafy enough to want a little light training.

Where it comes from

Original Sensible Seeds set Lemon 5 against a selected autoflowering Lemon Haze, and the pedigree rewards a moment's attention. Lemon 5 is itself a lemony phenotype of Amnesia 5, so the citrus runs deep on both sides of the family rather than arriving as an afterthought. The ruderalis in the autoflowering half is the practical touch: it lets the plant be grown very nearly anywhere, from a sun-exposed balcony to a fully automated greenhouse. In climates blessed with warm summers and mild autumns, a grower may even manage more than one harvest in a single year, which is a rare courtesy from any cannabis plant.

Nose & flavour

The nose is lemon first and lemon last, as the parentage insists it should be, with a broader citrus brightness behind it. Underneath sits a thread of spice that keeps the whole thing from reading as a simple sweet, lending it the length the Haze side of the family is known for. It is a forward, cheerful aroma rather than a subtle one, and it does not need coaxing to make itself known.

The high

The effect is uplifting to begin with, the kind that lifts the corners of the mood without scattering the attention entirely. It settles from there into something relaxed and plainly happy, a companionable sort of high rather than a demanding one. There is enough sativa in the mix to keep the head engaged, but not so much that the evening runs away from you. Sociable company, in short, and honest about what it is.

Growing it

An autoflower that finishes in roughly 70 to 75 days from germination to harvest, so patience is required but not indefinitely. Indoors she reaches 60 to 120cm and returns around 450 g/m² in a Sea of Green, while a single plant outdoors may give up to 120g. THC sits at 19 per cent, with a touch of CBD at 1 per cent. She carries slightly larger internodes and inclines toward the leafy, so a little light training earns its keep here, opening the canopy so the light reaches what it should. The ruderalis makes her forgiving of enthusiasm and of climate both.
