Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Super Lemon Haze crossed with S.O.D.K F5 for a quick, compact autoflower that smells of fresh-cut oranges with a piney twist. The high is versatile — uplifting and happy first, sleepy on the way down — built for whichever mood shows up first.

Where it comes from

Mephisto Genetics crossed Super Lemon Haze with S.O.D.K F5 to make this zesty autoflower, and the citrus took a turn from lemon toward orange in the process. At 75 per cent sativa it keeps the heady, bright character of its Haze parent while the ruderalis in the mix grants it autoflowering manners and a manageable size. A plant built, in the record's own words, for joy, growing quickly and staying compact where its Haze heritage might otherwise run tall.

Nose & flavour

The name is well earned: it smells like fresh-cut oranges, the citrus bright and unmistakable, with a piney twist running through it to give the aroma some backbone. Sweet and sour notes round it out, the orange leading and the pine grounding it. A cheerful, forward scent, exactly the kind of zesty nose the sativa lineage would lead you to hope for.

The high

A versatile effect that changes character as it goes. It opens uplifting and plainly happy, the sativa lift arriving first and setting the mood going, then turns sleepy on the way down as the body catches up. Whichever mood shows up first, the strain has an answer for it, lifting or settling as required. Charming, adaptable company rather than a one-note high.

Growing it

A medium autoflower that stays manageable at 70 to 100cm, growing quickly despite a longer bloom of 75 to 85 days. The yield is a modest 90 to 150 g/m², so this is a plant grown for its charm and its zest rather than sheer weight. THC is quoted only as medium, so no figure is claimed here. Quick to get going, compact enough for a tight space and easy in temperament, it suits a grower after character over tonnage and glad of a plant that asks little.
