How to grow Sour Kosher
Taste
Seb's take
Sour Diesel and Kosher Kush make an unlikely couple - one loud, one supposedly restrained - and the offspring inherited the volume, not the discretion. Pungent, potent, and dense with sticky, resin-heavy buds under orange hair. Medium and compact, she suits a warm sunny plot, or a greenhouse standing in for one.
Where it comes from
Sour Diesel crossed with Kosher Kush by DNA Genetics - the legendary loud one married to the supposedly restrained award-winner, and the record is candid that the volume won the argument. A seventy-per-cent sativa that kept the diesel swagger and rather less of the Kush's discretion. Warm, sunny plots suit her, or a greenhouse standing in for one. The name promises decorum the plant declines to deliver.
Nose & flavour
The record's recurring word is smelly, and it means it - pungent, potent, and not remotely discreet, with dense, hard, sticky buds under orange and brown hair. Specific tasting notes are left unrecorded, but the volume is not in doubt. A carbon filter is a fair investment here. She announces herself before you have found her.
The high
The record calls her potent and powerful without pinning a figure I would trust, so I shall leave the number blank rather than invent one. The experience is a strong, characterful one in the diesel mould. Beyond that the record turns toward matters I will not repeat as claims - take it simply as a forceful, top-shelf smoke and pace it with respect.
Growing it
Medium and compact in stature - a good fit indoors or out - and finishing in sixty-three to sixty-seven days, which the record fairly calls fast. Yields sit at 500 g/m². She prefers warmth and sun, and does well in a greenhouse where those can be replicated; drop the night temperatures late on and the olive-green buds take on colourful hues. Resistant and productive. Give her heat, light and a cool final fortnight, and she rewards it.
