Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sour Diesel Heirloom crossed with G13 Haze, the G13 side adding an extra week to flowering and a fair bit of height to match. Citrus and diesel run sweet and earthy underneath; the effect is happy and uplifted at first, settling euphoric and sleepy by the end. A carbon filter indoors would be wise.

Where it comes from

Sour Diesel Heirloom crossed with G13 Haze by DNA Genetics - a seventy-per-cent sativa in which the G13 side leaves its fingerprints on the calendar as much as the character, adding a week or more to the flower and a fair bit of height to match. Two storied names, and the offspring wears both. The record is candid that the G13 heritage is what makes her run long; forewarned is forearmed.

Nose & flavour

Citrus and diesel lead, sharp and fuel-forward, with a sweet, flowery note softening the edges and an earthy base holding it down. A layered nose that swings between the bright and the pungent depending on the phenotype. Loud enough that the record recommends a carbon filter without prompting - she does not travel discreetly, and does not pretend to.

The high

Happy and uplifted at the outset - the sativa half doing the talking - before it eases toward euphoria and, eventually, sleep as the evening wears on. A high with an arc to it rather than a single note held throughout. Sociable to begin, solitary by the end; plan the timing accordingly and let the descent come on its own schedule.

Growing it

She takes any training you care to give her and does best in a warm, semi-humid climate, where - given root space and veg time - she stretches to 200cm and returns around 600 grams per plant, or 500 to 600 g/m². Flowering runs nine to ten weeks, sometimes a touch longer thanks to the G13 side, or late October outdoors. A carbon filter indoors is not optional. Give her room, warmth and patience and she is generous.
