Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Diesel crossed with Californian genetics, a Sativa-dominant hybrid that manages heavy yields without sacrificing flavour — a combination rarer than the name suggests among her type. Grown well both indoors and out, with a medium-to-high THC range and a vigorous, no-nonsense growth habit throughout.

Where it comes from

BCN points to Barcelona, home of Medical Seeds, and the cross itself is Diesel married to Californian genetics — a diesel line joined to West Coast stock. The interesting trick is the yield. Heavy harvests are rare among sativa-dominant plants, which tend to stretch tall and reward you thinly; this one manages genuine weight without surrendering the flavour, which is precisely what the two parent lines were selected to do.

Nose & flavour

The record keeps its cards close on the specifics, listing no formal notes, though the Diesel side of the family rarely arrives quietly — expect the sharp, fuel-edged pungency that gives the line its name. What the breeder will confirm is that flavour was a priority, and a well-rounded one, which for a sativa-dominant plant is no small thing to make good on.

The high

With no effect notes recorded, the honest guide is the make-up: seventy per cent sativa at a medium-to-high twelve to fifteen per cent THC. That points to a clear-headed, well-rounded lift rather than anything that pins you down — the daytime end of the spectrum, lively without being frantic. A sativa-leaning hybrid tends to keep you upright and talking, and there is little here to suggest otherwise.

Growing it

Give her the headroom. Indoors she reaches three to three-and-a-half metres, and outdoors, by the record's account, she grows with real vigour — this is no cupboard plant. Reckon on around two weeks of vegetation before a flowering period of nine to ten weeks, yielding in the region of 500 g/m² indoors. She takes to both settings equally, which is generous of her, but the sheer stature means the outdoor grower with vertical room to spare gets the better of the bargain.
