Seb Silverback

Black Domina self-pollinated to produce this S1 — a strain that keeps its own counsel and its own consistency, phenotype after phenotype. Sweet, pungent musk on the nose; the high is relaxed, happy and quietly medicinal. Heavy-yielding and resin-dense, bred for growers who want the same result every single time.

Where it comes from

The record here is plain: this S1 was made by self-pollinating a Black Domina mother from 1998, one of the most widely bred indicas of its era, to fix a fast-flowering, heavy-yielding line. The virtue of an S1 is homogeneity: rather than blending in another strain, the breeder doubles down on a single elite plant, and the seeds come up far more uniform for it. A consistency exercise, in short, built on formidable indica stock.

Nose & flavour

Sweet and pungent, with a musky depth running underneath, a rich, resinous nose in the Afgani mould, more savoury than sharp. It carries well, the sort that fills a room rather than whispers in it. Rounded, heavy and unmistakably indica in character. A jar that announces itself.

The high

Relaxed and happy, easing into a calm settle, an even-tempered indica experience rather than a soaring one. At 15 to 20% THC it sits comfortably in the potent-but-manageable range, weighted towards the body without ever becoming a burden. Quiet, agreeable company for the back half of a day.

Growing it

Consistency is her calling card. Being an S1, she comes up remarkably uniform seed to seed, which is exactly what commercial growers value when they want the same result every time. She is heavy-yielding, 400 to 500 g/m², and thoroughly resinous, that resin lending her a useful resistance in the field, indoors or out. Flowering runs 56 to 63 days. At 15 to 20% THC, a dependable, resinous grow that repays a grower's trust in kind.
