Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sweet Cheese crossed with its own autoflowering line for an F1 that keeps the traditional spicy cheese aroma intact while shortening the wait considerably. Long, thick, crystalline buds carry the sweet-spice-cheese nose through to a relaxed, happy, euphoric high — hybrid vigour doing exactly what it says.

Where it comes from

Sweet Seeds crossed Sweet Cheese with its own autoflowering line to make this F1 Fast Version, a photoperiod that borrows the auto's speed. The cross brings more homogeneity and hybrid vigour to the offspring, while the autoflowering genetics on one side shorten the flowering and maturity by several weeks. Crucially, it preserves the traditional and desired old spicy cheese aroma from the Cheese genetics, so nothing of the character was sacrificed for the quicker turn. A faster take on a house favourite, refined rather than reinvented.

Nose & flavour

The traditional spicy cheese aroma survives intact, which was the whole point of the exercise. Sweet and spice ride over the cheese funk beneath, the old signature the Cheese genetics are prized for, carried on long, thick, dense buds totally covered in aromatic, crystalline trichomes. A loud, characterful scent that keeps faith with the family, sharp and warm at once, and every bit as pungent as the lineage demands.

The high

The effect runs relaxed, happy and euphoric, an agreeable, well-rounded character rather than a heavy one. It settles the body while keeping the mood light and cheerful, companionable company for an easy afternoon or evening. The hybrid vigour of the F1 does exactly what it says, giving a clean, uniform experience that lifts a little and settles a little in comfortable measure. Pleasant, unhurried and undemanding throughout.

Growing it

The record gives no height, but the headline is the speed: the cross with the autoflowering line shortens flowering and maturity by several weeks, and she finishes in a quick 56 days. The F1 vigour brings uniformity and strength to the offspring, and the yield is a solid 400 to 600 g/m². THC runs 18 to 20 per cent, with a little CBD at 0.4. A faster, more uniform version of a house classic that keeps the traditional cheese character while sparing the grower some of the wait.
