A South African landrace with genuine ceremonial history, once called upon by Kenyan shamans to bless the hunt - rather more responsibility than most seeds carry. Sweet, fruity, citrus-toned, with a happy, creative lift, she is a giant of a plant prone to damp, so a greenhouse suits her better than open sky.
Where it comes from
A South African Sativa at heart, and a landrace one. Original Sensible Seeds trace its history to the local communities of Kenya, where the plant held a place in traditional ceremony; shamans are said to have called upon it as a blessing for the hunt, which is rather more ceremonial responsibility than most seeds carry. However you regard the folklore, the genetics are old and unhurried, carrying the tall, reaching habit of equatorial African stock.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and fruity across the nose, with a clean citrus lift running through, bright and uncomplicated. It is the aromatic signature of an African Sativa that has never needed much dressing up, and asks little of the palate beyond a moment's attention.
The high
The effect is a clear-headed one: happy and creative, the sort of lift that keeps the mind moving without weighing on the body. Daytime company, in keeping with her sativa heritage, and better suited to conversation and work than to the quiet corner of an evening.
Growing it
A giant, and one that needs the headroom, 140 to 200cm, reaching skyward as equatorial lines tend to. Sixty to seventy days in flower, with yields quoted at 400 g/m² and, by the breeder's own account, over 450 g/m² indoors or 600 to 800g per plant outdoors. Around 20% THC. She is prone to fungus and mould, so a greenhouse and a measured hand with nutrients suit her far better than open sky. Straightforward otherwise, for all her size.
