Seb's take

Seb Silverback

South African landrace meets North American Indica in a strain that does not travel discreetly - pungent, skunky, earthy, with citrus and herb underneath. The high starts uplifting and focused, energetic enough for daytime use, before higher doses tip it toward the sitting-down sort. Honest about what it is, in both directions.

Where it comes from

South African landraces on one side, North American Indica on the other, a plant with a foot on two continents. White Label's cross leans just Indica of centre, and it shows in the balance: the African stock supplies the reach and the lift, the North American Indica the structure and the settle. A meeting of opposite hemispheres that pulls in both directions at once.

Nose & flavour

Pungent, skunky and earthy up front, with a piney edge; this one does not travel discreetly. Underneath, the flavour turns sweeter and more citric, spice and herb threading through. Loud on the approach, more nuanced on the exhale, and better mannered than the first impression suggests.

The high

The effect opens uplifting and motivating, energetic enough for daytime and focused enough to be useful. Push the dose, though, and it changes character entirely, sliding toward the sedative and the couch-locked. Honest about what it is, in both directions, and best judged by how much you reach for.

Growing it

Quick in flower at 49 to 56 days, and medium in stature, 100 to 140cm, easily managed indoors. Yields run 300 to 450 g/m². THC is quoted across a wide 18 to 25% band, so potency will vary with the phenotype and your patience, with 1% CBD alongside. A brisk, obliging grow that rewards a light touch and asks little in return.
