Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Pure Power Plant has sat on Dutch coffeeshop menus for as long as coffeeshops have existed, and this Ruderalis cross simply makes the classic easier to grow. Earthy, woody, and peppery on the nose with a pungent edge; the effect runs the full set — happy, uplifted, energetic, relaxed, euphoric. Dependable rather than flashy, and forgiving enough for several crops a year.

Where it comes from

White Label Seed Company take a prime Pure Power Plant cultivar, a fixture on Dutch coffeeshop menus for as long as coffeeshops have existed, and cross it with a vigorous Ruderalis to make it automatic. The Ruderalis does the practical work, turning a dependable classic into a super-easy, quick-turnaround plant while keeping the balanced character. A sensible modernisation of a genuine old reliable, aimed squarely at growers wanting several crops a year without the fuss.

Nose & flavour

The nose is earthy and woody with a distinct peppery edge and a pungent, spicy-herbal depth beneath, a savoury, old-school aroma rather than anything sweet. The Power Plant lineage carries through clearly, unbothered by the Ruderalis addition. It is a full, characterful profile that announces itself plainly. Loud and earthy from grinder to exhale.

The high

The effect runs the full set, happy, uplifted, energetic, relaxed and euphoric, shading between them without settling on one. At a gentle 15 percent THC it is easygoing and approachable, the sort of broad, good-natured lift that suits most of the day. Balanced company, forgiving of enthusiasm, and slow to overstay its welcome.

Growing it

Quick and genuinely forgiving, flowering wraps in just 45 to 55 days from a compact plant of 60 to 100cm, ideal for tight spaces and impatient growers. The record calls the yield high but stops short of a figure, so I'll leave it there. It is billed as super-easy and recommended for beginners or anyone short on confidence in their green fingers, with the speed to fit several crops into a single year. Chunky, crystal-covered flower for very little trouble.
