How to grow Kandy Kush
Taste
Seb's take
The same OG Kush and Trainwreck cross, this time leaning into its indica side, mould-resistant, easy to grow, and forgiving of harsher climates. Strong, pungent lemon-and-kush notes lead an earthy, piney nose, and the high moves from uplifting and euphoric into relaxed, hungry and sleepy. A strain that knows exactly where the evening is heading.
Where it comes from
OG Kush crossed with Trainwreck, this time leaning into the indica side of the family. The OG lends the kush backbone and the pungency; Trainwreck the vigour and a piney sharpness. That heritage also makes her mould-resistant and easy to grow, well able to shrug off harsher climates that would trouble a more delicate plant. A robust cross with an appetite for the outdoors.
Nose & flavour
Strong and pungent, lemon and kush leading over an earthy, piney base, with a sweet, candy-like note that gives the plant its name. A loud nose rather than a subtle one, and none the worse for it.
The high
Balanced between head and body, it opens uplifting and euphoric before moving into relaxed, hungry and sleepy territory, the indica side asserting itself as the evening wears on. A high that knows exactly where it is heading, and takes its time getting you there comfortably.
Growing it
Flowering runs 63 to 70 days, with yields of 450 to 500 g/m² indoors or out, and THC at 18.5%. Her family tree makes her genuinely easy to grow, mould-resistant and forgiving of a rougher climate, which is more than can be said for much of the OG line. No height is set down in the record, so judge her stretch as she goes. A sound choice for a grower who would rather the plant did the coping.
