How to grow Sour Kush
Taste
Seb's take
Sour Diesel and OG Kush, indica-leaning and unbothered by rough handling - she recovers from training as if it never happened. Pungent citrus and lemon over a diesel, earthy base; the high is happy, relaxed, and focused rather than flattening. Forgiving of enthusiasm, and finished within ten weeks.
Where it comes from
Sour Diesel crossed with OG Kush by Reserva Privada - the same celebrated pairing that recurs across the cabinet, here tilted seventy per cent toward indica. Fast and vigorous in habit, with numerous branches that fill with dense buds, and a temperament forgiving enough that she shrugs off training as though it never happened. The record's fondness is plainly for the grower's experience as much as the smoker's. An easy classic.
Nose & flavour
Pungent citrus and lemon lead, bright and zesty, over a diesel-and-earth base that grounds the sharpness - the OG Kush weight beneath the Sour Diesel lift. A lively nose with a proper backbone. Loud enough to want a filter, but more citrus-forward than some of its diesel kin. Sharp on top, earthy underneath, and thoroughly moreish.
The high
Twenty-two per cent THC behind a genuinely balanced high - happy, uplifted and focused up top, relaxed and euphoric beneath, without ever flattening you into the sofa. A working sort of strength rather than a sedating one. The record leans toward its steadier qualities, and the effect bears that out: lucid, upbeat, and in no hurry to overwhelm.
Growing it
Easy across environments and setups, though she prefers a warmer climate and does well in a greenhouse or indoors where that can be arranged. A little taller than average, finishing in nine to ten weeks, with yields of 500 to 600 g/m². Her best trick is resilience: she recovers quickly from training and shrugs off the elements, which makes her forgiving of enthusiasm. A sound grow for a newer hand.
