Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sweet lemon and earth on the nose, dense and smelly buds under a heavy coat of resin with bright orange hairs throughout. Compact and bushy, she finishes in seven to eight weeks for 500g or more, provided the air stays dry — the effect itself is sleepy, happy and calming.

Where it comes from

Royal Queen Seeds crossed Bubble Gum with OG Kush for this one, an 80 percent indica hybrid pairing the confectionery sweetness of the first parent with the resinous weight of the second. The record describes a compact, good-looking plant — dense, dark-green buds under a heavy coat of resin, with bright orange hairs throughout. A straightforward, well-behaved cross that keeps the best of both names and asks little in return.

Nose & flavour

Sweet lemon and earth on the nose, the OG Kush lending a citrus brightness to the Bubble Gum sweetness and an earthy floor beneath. The buds are dense and smelly, the record says plainly, and heavily coated in resin — an aromatic, room-filling profile with a clean lemon lift over its grounded base. Appetising and full, and generous with the resin.

The high

Sleepy, happy and calming — an 80 percent indica effect that settles comfortably into the body and stays there. There is a pleasant ease to it rather than any weight or fog, but it is unmistakeably the relaxing sort. Good company for winding down, and content to leave anything requiring you upright to a livelier strain.

Growing it

Compact and bushy with strong branches and tight internodes, staying below 150cm indoors and around 150 to 180cm outside, though with plenty of sun and veg time she can reach 200cm. She finishes in just 7 to 8 weeks — given here as 56 to 70 days — for yields usually around 500g or more, put at 550 to 600 g/m², with 19% THC. She prefers a dry climate, as humidity can trouble the large buds. Easy-going and quick, the record calls her, and she is.
