How to grow Enemy of the State
Taste
Seb's take
Decorated at the High Life Cup across three separate years, and stubborn enough about its own pace to need the patience such trophies imply. Flowery, spiced, and sweet on the nose with a musky finish; the high is happy, relaxed, and properly stoned, with hunger and sleep close behind. Give her the headroom — she settles at a modest 1.5 metres.
Where it comes from
Super Strains keep Enemy of the State's parentage unstated, so I will not manufacture a lineage — but the trophy record speaks for itself. Decorated at the High Life Cup across five separate years, from 1994 through the mid-nineties and again in the early 2000s, with a mix of first and second places. Genetically strong enough to pass a large share of her character on to any cross, which the record notes explicitly. A pedigree measured in silverware rather than surnames.
Nose & flavour
Flowery and sweet up top, with a spiced, herbal middle and a musky finish underneath — the record singles out that muskiness as her signature. A layered, mature nose that trades brightness for depth, and is the better for it.
The high
Happy and relaxed, deepening into something properly stoned, with hunger and sleep following close behind. An unhurried, weighty experience that settles the body and quiets the day — you won't be needed elsewhere this evening. The sort of high those Cup judges evidently rewarded.
Growing it
A deliberate grower — she takes her time, which indoors must be planned for, and finishes at a modest 1.5 metres, somewhere in the 100 to 150cm range. Flowering runs 55 to 65 days for a solid 500 g/m², and one plant per square metre is plenty given how she fills the space. Sow in May for an outdoor run. Patience is the price here, as it so often is with a plant this decorated — but the slow build is exactly what earns the weight at the end.
