Where it comes from
DNA Genetics paired the legendary DJ Short's Blueberry with a Jew Gold cut for this sativa-dominant hybrid, fifty-five per cent to the sativa side. The Blueberry parent brings the celebrated flavour DJ Short spent a career chasing; the Jew Gold cut brings the potency and the weight. A marriage of taste and yield, and a well-matched one at that.
Nose & flavour
The DJ Short Blueberry line is the draw here, that incredible, much-imitated taste running through the cross. Buds come dark green, dense and frosty, so thoroughly covered in resin and trichomes that they make as good a source for concentrates as for flower.
The high
High potency is what the Jew Gold parent was brought in for, and the frosty, resin-laden flower makes the case plainly enough. The lean is sativa-dominant, so expect the brighter, more cerebral side of the family, carried on that unmistakable Blueberry sweetness.
Growing it
Fast-finishing, in around nine weeks or by the start of October outdoors, though some phenotypes take a week longer to mature, more so in colder, harsher conditions. Yields run 500 to 600 g/m². Left untrained she grows big and tall, so top her, FIM her, or run a SCROG to keep her in bounds, and give her the headroom either way.
