How to grow Citrus
Taste
Seb's take
Bubblegum genetics meet Iranian Kush here, an unlikely pairing that leans toward a bright, citrus-sativa character despite the Kush in its blood. Berry, cherry, citrus, fruity, sour and sugary all crowd the nose; the high is calming, focused and sociable, with an easy euphoria running through it. Honest about what it is, in a good way.
Where it comes from
Kannabia Seeds paired Bubblegum genetics with an Iranian Kush, an unlikely marriage that leans, against the odds, toward a bright citrus-sativa character despite the Kush in its blood. The Kush side lends a bit of ballast, the Bubblegum side the sweetness, and the result tips toward the lively end. An odd couple on paper that gets along rather better than it has any right to.
Nose & flavour
A crowded fruit bowl: berry and cherry up front, citrus running through, with a sour edge and a sugary sweetness beneath. There is a distinctly lemony note to the aroma and the aftertaste, which is where the name earns itself. Vivid and sweet-natured, the sort of nose that flatters the grower.
The high
Calming and relaxing, but sociable and focused with it, a happy, easy euphoria running underneath. It leans toward an energetic, upward turn of mind rather than a weight, which the citrus-forward character rather predicts. Good company, and honest about being so, more of a bright afternoon than a heavy evening.
Growing it
A feminized plant at 15 to 18% THC, flowering in 53 to 60 days, roughly eight weeks. Height spans a wide 60 to 200cm, which tells you the phenotype varies and that a little training pays off in keeping her toward the lower end. Yields come in at 500 g/m². A forgiving, versatile plant, honest about what it is in the best sense, and generous enough on the nose to reward the effort of growing it.
