A Cheese clone carried out of the Alpujarra mountains by English travellers in the 1990s, later crossed with Mazar-i-Sharif and bred back to the original for proper yield without losing the cheese. Creamy, cheesy funk with grape and sage on the nose, and a high that runs hungry, energetic and focused. A well-travelled strain with a name to match.
Where it comes from
The story here begins with a Cheese clone carried out of the Alpujarra mountains above Granada by English travellers who settled there in the 1990s, selected from standard Cheese seeds for its intense aroma and fast flowering. Kannabia crossed it with their Mazar-i-Sharif Afghan to lift a yield that was never the original clone's strength, then bred the hybrid back to the Cheese to recover the Skunk structure. Afghan and Cheese, then, with a well-travelled provenance behind it.
Nose & flavour
Creamy, cheesy funk at the core, with grape and sage lifting it and a spiced edge behind. A genuinely complex nose for a Cheese descendant, richer than the parent it grew from. Distinctly savoury rather than sweet.
The high
Energetic, creative and focused, euphoric and uplifted, with a reliable appetite arriving in tow. A brighter, busier effect than the heavy Afghan half might lead you to expect. Good company for getting things done.
Growing it
A tall plant of 180 to 200cm, so plan the vertical space accordingly. Flowering is quick at 55 to 60 days, a trait inherited straight from that fast-flowering Cheese clone, with yields of 550 g/m² much improved by the Afghan cross. THC lands at 21.5%. In a modest 5 to 7 litre container she stays more manageable. A characterful grow with a proper passport behind it.
