Seb Silverback

Blackberry Kush lends its deep-forest berry pungency, an unnamed CBD-rich parent lends the calm, and Ruderalis lends the clock speed. Sweet and berry-laden on the nose with a classic Kush finish; the effect is calming and relaxed, medicinal above all, with under 1% THC to trouble the mind. A thick, resinous, 12-week plant.

Where it comes from

Dutch Passion crossed Auto Blackberry Kush with a CBD-rich plant, an unnamed one on the record, and drew on Ruderalis to set the whole thing autoflowering. The Blackberry Kush lends the deep, forest-berry character; the CBD plant lends the cannabinoid balance; the Ruderalis lends the clock. Powerful genetics behind a gentle result, which is rather the point of the exercise. A well-considered CBD-dominant auto from a house that has made plenty of them.

Nose & flavour

Deep-forest blackberry, pungent and unmistakable, blending into a sweet, classic Kush finish, sweet, fruity and berry-laden throughout. The Blackberry Kush parent is doing exactly what its name promises. A rich, moreish nose with real fruit to it.

The high

Calming and relaxed, with under 1 percent THC set against a substantial 15 percent CBD, which is to say there is next to nothing here to occupy the head. A quiet, easy settling rather than any shift worth bracing for. Suited to someone after the character of the flower without the potency behind it.

Growing it

A longer autoflower, 91 days, or eleven to twelve weeks, growing into a classic indica shape with a large central kola and side branches full of thick, resinous buds. She yields well at 400 to 500 g/m², at under 1 percent THC and 15 percent CBD. Patience is the main thing asked of you; give her the fortnight or so beyond the average auto and she finishes heavy and handsome. A dependable, high-CBD grow.
