How to grow Auto Somango
Taste
Seb's take
Jack Herer and Big Skunk brought together and steadied with Ruderalis, finishing in a brisk 60 days regardless of setup. Tropical, sweet and fruity on the nose; the high is relaxed, happy and euphoric, from a plant that stays discreet outdoors at no more than 1.4 metres.
Where it comes from
Advanced Seeds brought together Jack Herer and Big Skunk here, then steadied the pair with Ruderalis to autoflower the line. Jack Herer supplies the pedigree and much of the character; Big Skunk the backbone and the aroma; the Ruderalis the automatic habit and the brisk finish. A well-considered trio rather than a lucky accident, and one that finishes remarkably quickly for the quality on offer. A tidy piece of breeding, purposeful on all three sides.
Nose & flavour
Tropical and sweet, plainly fruity, the mango the name half-promises, over a sweeter base. A bright, ripe aroma that leans more towards the fruit bowl than the skunk cupboard, despite the Big Skunk in her parentage. Approachable and pleasant, with nothing sharp to trip up a newer palate. An easy nose to like, and easier still to finish.
The high
Relaxed, happy and euphoric, an easy, good-humoured experience that lifts the mood without demanding much attention. At 15% THC it stays comfortable and sociable rather than heavy, the sort of even, cheerful high that suits company or a quiet afternoon equally. Undemanding, and pleasantly so, from start to finish.
Growing it
A quick one, around 60 days from seed regardless of setup, standing 70 to 100cm indoors and no more than 1.4m outdoors, which keeps her discreet in the open. Yields run 400 to 450 g/m² under a 600W light, with roughly nine plants filling a square metre; the record even suggests a resin stimulant from day twenty for the keen. At least five hours of sunlight outdoors. A versatile, fast, tidy plant that suits the grower who values discretion.
