Super Skunk crossed with Jack Herer for a hybrid whose spiced mango aroma announces itself across the room. The high is powerful and cerebral, happy and uplifted, needing only a couple of tokes to make its point. Energising rather than sleepy, despite the shared name's reputation.
Where it comes from
Super Skunk crossed with Jack Herer - a Skunk backbone married to one of the most decorated sativas in the book - and Herbies Seeds keep the result at seventy per cent indica. The interesting inheritance is aromatic rather than structural: neither parent is especially known for fruit, yet the offspring arrives smelling of mango across the room. Genetics occasionally produce a surprise the parents never advertised, and this is one of them.
Nose & flavour
Mango first and unmistakably, tropical and sweet, with citrus brightening the edges and a soft vanilla underneath - fruity through and through, and loud enough to announce itself from across the room. A spiced note keeps it from cloying. One of the more genuinely fruit-forward noses in the cabinet, and it does not travel discreetly.
The high
Above-average strength on paper at nineteen to twenty-one per cent, and the record calls it powerful and cerebral - a couple of tokes make the point without belabouring it. Happy and uplifted first, creative with it; the sleepier, hungrier notes arrive later as the indica half asserts itself. Energising to begin, settling as it goes.
Growing it
Flowering runs a tidy sixty-three days, and she settles at a medium height - roughly 120 to 150cm - so she suits most tents without special measures. Yields come in at around 458 g/m², a solid return rather than a record one.
