How to grow Ultimate AK
Taste
Seb's take
AK47 crossed with Sumo's Big Bud, floral, spicy and sweet on the nose. The high is active rather than sedating — suited to physical tasks, decidedly not the sitting-down sort. Height and yield scale generously outdoors, less so indoors, in the usual trade-off.
Where it comes from
Sumo Seeds crossed AK47 with their own Sumo's Big Bud to raise Ultimate AK, a 55 percent indica hybrid that borrows the AK47 character and the Big Bud yield in roughly equal measure. The pairing is straightforward in intent: a well-known, potent line married to a heavy producer, the one for its reputation and the other for its return. No elaborate lore in the record, just two dependable parents put together for the obvious complementary reasons.
Nose & flavour
Floral, spicy and sweet, the record's own three notes and a coherent, warm set. The floral quality lifts it, the spice gives it grip, and the sweetness rounds it off, a profile with a bit of range rather than a single register. An agreeable, characterful nose, earthy at its heart by the record's reckoning, and pleasant company without ever raising its voice.
The high
Suitable for physical tasks and, the record is emphatic, not at all couch-lock. This is the active end of the spectrum, an effect that keeps you upright and useful rather than settling you into a chair. Decidedly not the sitting-down sort: a clear, functional high that suits getting something done, which the record plainly regards as a virtue worth naming twice over.
Growing it
The record gives no THC figure beyond marking her medium, so I will not invent one. Indoors she finishes by the end of the ninth week, reaching 50 to 90cm and returning 420 to 520 g/m². Outdoors, or in a greenhouse, she is ready in October in the northern hemisphere and grows taller, 100 to 160cm, yielding 650 to 750g per plant. A compact indoor plant that scales up generously outdoors, she offers the usual trade-off between the two settings, and rewards whichever room you give her.
