Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Oaxacan Sativa crossed with Cinderella 88 produces a short plant with a flower-to-leaf ratio most growers only dream about, and a fast finish besides. The taste carries you somewhere tropical; the high is a proper Sativa head buzz, potent and psychoactive without asking for the usual long wait.

Where it comes from

Sumo Seeds crossed Oaxacan Sativa with Cinderella 88 for The Cinderella's — a Mexican landrace against a modern favourite. Sativa-dominant at eighty-five percent, yet, unusually, she stays short and doesn't stretch the way the ancestry threatens. The flower-to-leaf ratio is the standout: heavy on bud, light on foliage. A sativa built for the grower who loves the head but hasn't the ceiling or the patience for the usual long, lanky affair.

Nose & flavour

The record lists no formal notes, but the breeder offers one clear direction: the taste carries you somewhere tropical, bright and warm-climate in character. I'll not embroider past that. Expect the sativa side to lend an exotic, fruit-leaning aroma rather than anything heavy or earthy, and leave the finer detail to your own senses.

The high

The effect is a proper sativa head buzz — psychoactive and potent, the breeder promising real sativa lovers something close to heaven. A bright, cerebral lift rather than a bodily weight. The record names no strength figure, so I'll not invent one, but 'potent' is the breeder's word and the eighty-five percent sativa backs it. Company for a lively mind.

Growing it

Here's the appeal: a fast-finishing sativa that behaves like an indica in the tent. Flowering runs a short fifty-six to sixty-three days — eight to nine weeks, quick for the type — and she stays compact at fifty to 90cm despite the sativa dominance. Yields sit between 400 and 500 g/m², helped along by that phenomenal flower-to-leaf ratio, which spares the trimmer a good deal of work. A sativa without the usual sativa demands.
