How to grow Sweet Gelato Auto
Taste
Seb's take
Gelato crossed with the proven Killer Kush Auto line, and the OG Kush genetics show through in a habit of doubling or tripling size during pre-flower — give her the headroom accordingly. Wood, earth, and citrus on the nose, with a high that runs relaxed, happy, and euphoric, and trichomes heavy enough for concentrate hunters to take note.
Where it comes from
Sweet Seeds crossed Gelato with the proven Killer Kush Auto line to make this pure autoflowering hybrid, which the record rates one of the finest offerings the West Coast has seen since GSC. The Gelato lends the dessert character and the frost, the Killer Kush Auto the autoflowering trait and the OG heritage that runs beneath it. The moment OG Kush genetics enter the gene pool, the plant gains a habit of outgrowing its space, so the lineage is worth reading before the seed goes in.
Nose & flavour
Wood and earth ground the nose, with a lift of citrus over the top brightening the heavier base. It is a rounded, agreeable aroma rather than a loud one, the earthiness giving it weight and the citrus a fresh edge, in keeping with the Gelato and Kush heritage on either side. Massive trichomes carry the scent well, and the whole reads warm and resinous, a dessert-leaning profile with a citrus finish.
The high
The high runs relaxed, happy and euphoric, a well-rounded, good-humoured effect rather than a heavy one. It settles the body while keeping the mood light and cheerful, companionable company for an easy afternoon or evening. The Gelato and Kush heritage gives it a warm, contented character, the sort of high that eases the day down comfortably without flattening you or scattering the attention. Pleasant, unhurried and undemanding.
Growing it
Give her the headroom, because the OG Kush in the gene pool makes her prone to doubling or tripling during the pre-flowering stretch, so accommodate her accordingly. She reaches 60 to 100cm, finishes 8 weeks after the off at 56 days, and carries massive trichomes that recommend her to concentrate producers as much as smokers. The yield reaches upwards of 500 g/m², with the record's band at 375 to 500, and THC runs a serious 18 to 23 per cent with a whisper of CBD at 0.1. Frosty, quick and generous, if apt to stretch.
