How to grow Sapphire Scout
Taste
Seb's take
Girl Scout Cookies meets a legendary True OG Kush cut, and Sapphire Scout inherits the sweetness of one and the strength of the other — berry, blueberry, strawberry, all wrapped round a serious payload. Approach as you would a staircase in the dark: euphoric, happy, then thoroughly relaxed into sleep. Not a strain for the faint of heart, by its own admission.
Where it comes from
Humboldt Seeds crossed the famous Girl Scout Cookies with a carefully selected True OG Kush cut, and Sapphire Scout took the sweetness of the one and the strength of the other. It is a 70 percent indica hybrid, stable enough that the breeder points inexperienced growers and commercial ones toward it in the same breath. Two well-documented parents, chosen deliberately rather than by chance, which is rather the reason it behaves so predictably in the tent.
Nose & flavour
Sweet up front, then the fruit arrives in force — berry, blueberry and strawberry, with a tropical lift underneath the lot. It is the Cookies side showing through, all dessert and orchard, wrapped tightly around a resin coat that does not travel discreetly. The breeder calls it smelly and potent in the same sentence, and the nose makes good on the first half well before you have lit anything.
The high
Approach as you would a staircase in the dark. The record notes it testing at 27 to 30 percent, and a single pull is said to be enough to settle body and mind entirely. It opens euphoric and happy, then draws down toward the relaxed and, eventually, the sleepy end of the evening. Dry eyes come with the territory. Not a strain for the faint of heart, by its own admission — a sipping strain, not a session one.
Growing it
Fast-flowering and high-yielding, Sapphire Scout finishes in 65 to 70 days and produces 400 to 600 g/m² of extremely resinous flower. She stretches to 300 to 400cm, so the headroom question wants answering early, but she is otherwise easy across environments and setups — genuinely forgiving of enthusiasm, which is why beginners and commercial growers alike get on with her. THC runs to 27 percent on the record, with a trace of CBD at 0.1 percent. Stable genetics do most of the work; your job is mainly to keep up with her frame.
