Seb Silverback

Banana OG crossed with Sapphire OG, a 75% Indica strain best reserved for nighttime — new hands are liable to find themselves rather more spaced out and motionless than planned. Spiced, pungent, and peppery on the nose, with a relaxed, happy, calming finish. A sipping strain, not a session one.

Where it comes from

Humboldt Seeds Organization crossed Banana OG with Sapphire OG here, a 75% indica whose smoke the record describes, plainly, as extremely potent and best reserved for the evening. Banana OG lends the fruit and the backbone; Sapphire OG the polish. New hands are liable to find themselves rather more spaced out and motionless than planned. A heavy, well-bred indica with no pretensions to subtlety.

Nose & flavour

Spice at the front, pungent and peppery beneath, a warmer, sharper bouquet than the banana in her name might lead you to expect. The Sapphire OG side lends a savoury edge to the sweetness. A full, aromatic nose that does not travel discreetly. Rich and unsubtle, and true to the weight of the plant behind it.

The high

Relaxed, happy and calming, a settling, comfortable experience that belongs firmly to the night. The record is candid that it spaces out newer users and pins them motionless, while heavier hands enjoy the euphoria and mental stimulation. At 23 to 26% THC this is a sipping strain, not a session one. Keep her for a night with nothing further asked of you.

Growing it

She flowers in 60 to 63 days for 450 to 500 g/m², with a low 0.1% CBD against the high THC. The record notes she runs tall and yields especially well outdoors, so give her the headroom and the open sky if you have it. Growers of any level manage her easily despite the potency of the result, an easy plant to raise, if a demanding one to smoke. Generous outdoors, and forgiving of enthusiasm throughout.
