How to grow Royal Cookies
Taste
Seb's take
Bred from Forum Cookies S1, a self-cross that keeps the Cookies pedigree honest and undiluted. Sweet, pungent earth on the nose, with an uplifting high that eases into relaxed euphoria. Short and stocky with a purple tinge late in flowering, and thick with small, dense, resinous buds — she will gum up your scissors.
Where it comes from
A self-cross, this, Forum Cookies pollinated with itself to fix an S1. The appeal of that trick is consistency: rather than blending in another strain and diluting the line, the breeder doubles down on a single elite Cookies mother and keeps the pedigree honest, phenotype to phenotype. The Forum cut is one of the more revered Cookies selections, and here it is simply concentrated rather than crossed. What you inherit is Cookies with the volume left where it was, minus the lottery of an outcross.
Nose & flavour
Sweet leads, in the doughy, unmistakable Cookies register, with a pungent depth behind it and a grounding note of earth. Nothing sharp or citric, this is the confectioner's end of the spectrum, rich and rounded. The resin does a good deal of the talking here, carrying the aroma heavily. A jar you will want sealed properly.
The high
Uplifting first, before it eases into a relaxed, euphoric middle, the two ends of Cookies working in sequence rather than at odds. At 23% THC there is genuine weight to it, so it rewards a measured hand. Bright enough for company, settled enough to keep you in the armchair once the lift has done its rounds.
Growing it
This one repays technique. She takes well to topping and other yield-shaping methods, which is where the 450 to 525 g/m² is earned. Structure is classically indica, short and stocky with strong apical dominance, standing 80 to 110cm, and some phenotypes flush purple as flowering closes, around the eight to nine week mark. The buds are small but many, dense and thoroughly resinous; she will gum up your scissors, so clean them as you were taught. A proper Cookies through and through.
