Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sour Diesel #2 crossed with Sweet Cherry Afghan, a pairing that argues with itself pleasantly on the nose — sweet berry against hints of fuel and gas. A 65% sativa hybrid at 18-21% THC, with dense, resinous buds built as much for extraction as for smoking whole.

Where it comes from

Humboldt Seeds Organization crossed Sour Diesel #2 with a Sweet Cherry Afghan for this one, a pairing that sets a loud, fuel-forward sativa against a sweet, fruity indica and lets them argue it out. The Diesel side brings the pungency and the lift, the Cherry Afghan the sweetness and resin, and the record notes the offspring was fairly bound to inherit both the berry and the gas. A 65% sativa hybrid, then, with a heavier, sweeter parent keeping it honest.

Nose & flavour

The record is clear on the nose, and it is a study in contrast: a trademark sweet berry aroma up front, with distinct hints of oil and gas underneath from the Diesel line. Fruit and fuel in the same breath, in other words — the sweetness leading, the diesel refusing to be ignored. A lively, split-personality profile, and the more interesting for it.

The high

No effect profile is recorded, so I will keep to what the make-up implies rather than invent one. At 65% sativa and 18–21% THC, the reasonable expectation is a lifted, forward sort of experience with a fuel-strain's clarity — but expectation is not fact, and the record stays quiet, so take that as informed reading rather than a promise.

Growing it

She runs tall — 200 to 300cm — so this is firmly one to give the headroom, or to train hard and early if the ceiling is fixed. Flowering takes 65 to 70 days, in keeping with her sativa lean, and the yield is a generous 450–600 g/m² of dense, resinous buds. The record notes those buds are as well suited to resin extraction as to smoking whole, which tells you how heavily she dresses for the occasion. A big, productive, sticky plant for a grower with vertical room to spare.
