Blood Wreck and Querkle stand behind this cross from TGA Subcool, and the record notes an underlying fruit smell it attributes to Space Queen further back in the family — the sort of detail that gives away a Subcool pedigree, where Space Queen turns up in a great many of the house crosses. The progeny, by the breeder's telling, takes the best of both contributing parents and rounds the whole thing out with that fruit note.
Nose & flavour
Earthy and pungent lead the nose, with a citrus lift and a flowery top note keeping it from turning heavy. Beneath sits that sweet, fruity undertone the record credits to the Space Queen line. Not a subtle plant — pungent is the operative word — but a well-balanced one, the sweetness and the earth pulling in useful opposite directions.
