How to grow Dark Ghost Train
Taste
Seb's take
Grape Ape crossed with a cup-winning Ghost Train Haze #1, the latter's strength riding along for the journey. Grape and sour citrus on the nose with a haze-like edge; the high is euphoric and creative, relaxed and happy at a strength that reflects her parentage. Dark purple buds, trichome-heavy throughout, and a compact, vigorous structure to carry them.
Where it comes from
Grape Ape supplies the mother, Ghost Train Haze #1, a cup winner in its own right, supplies the father and a good deal of the strength. Rare Dankness bred the pair into an indica-dominant hybrid that keeps a short flowering time and a vigorous, compact frame. The Haze parent's potency rides along for the journey, while the Grape Ape lends the colour. A dark train, fittingly, given the purple it turns by harvest.
Nose & flavour
Grape leads, sweet and distinct, with a sour citrus edge cutting across it and a faint haze note underneath from the father's side. A fruity nose with a tart lift rather than anything heavy or savoury. The Grape Ape half is unmistakable, and the sourness keeps it from cloying.
The high
Euphoric and creative up top, relaxed and happy beneath, a well-rounded effect that reflects both sides of the family. With THC at a listed 24 percent and a super-potent Haze in the parentage, there is real strength here, so treat the first session with a little respect. Bright enough for company, settled enough to stay put.
Growing it
Flowering runs a short fifty-five to sixty-five days, around sixty, from a compact and vigorous indica-structured plant. No height or yield figures appear in the record, though it describes her as a bountiful producer, so read her by that: dark, purple-tinged buds coated thick with trichomes and insanely resinous by the record's account. She will gum up your scissors at harvest, so clean them as you go. Quick, sturdy, and heavy with resin.
