Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Afghani crossed with the Arcata E-32 cut of Trainwreck, and she arrives smooth despite the name suggesting a collision. Menthol and lemon lead on the nose, numbing the tongue before the exhale settles; the high turns creative and sociable, with the munchies arriving as the final stop. Not one to rush past your station.

Where it comes from

Afghani crossed with the Arcata E-32 cut of Trainwreck, from T.H. Seeds. The Trainwreck side brings the sharp, lemony bite and the heady rush its name implies; the Afghani grounds it with indica weight and resin. The lean tips sativa at 60 percent, so the Trainwreck character leads while the Afghani holds it steady. Named for a wreck, though she arrives rather more smoothly than that.

Nose & flavour

Menthol and lemon lead the nose — cool and citric enough to leave the tongue faintly numb — with pine and a spicy edge behind. It is a bracing, mentholated spread rather than a sweet one, and the near-immediate sharpness on the inhale gives way to a surprisingly smooth exhale. Clean and cooling throughout.

The high

An almost immediate lift — euphoric and happy, quick to leave you smiling, then creative and sociable as it opens out. The appetite tends to arrive as the final stop, so plan the snacks accordingly. A bright, mobile effect that keeps good company rather than pinning you down.

Growing it

A medium plant at 120 to 140cm, manageable in most indoor spaces. Flowering is quick at 55 to 60 days. Yields run 300 to 350 g/m² — modest rather than heavy, the trade for her speed and character. THC sits at 16 to 20 percent. She is a straightforward grow with a lively temperament, better judged on her flavour and turnaround than on sheer weight. Not one to rush past your station.
