Bhutanese landrace stock runs through Purple Paro Valley, and it shows - branches that look willowy enough to snap shrug off wind and heavy rain without complaint. Mould resistance is exceptionally high, and she asks little in the way of nutrients. A modest THC strain by number, but built for places gentler cultivars would not survive.
Where it comes from
Mandala Seeds went to Bhutan for this one, Paro Valley and Bhutan both naming the source, the Paro being a genuine Himalayan landrace from the valley of the same name. That heritage is the whole story here: an old, hardy mountain Sativa, hybridised only as far as was needed to lift its yield. What willowy branches and fragile looks conceal is a constitution bred by altitude and weather rather than by a breeder. The mountains did most of the work.
Nose & flavour
No flavour profile is recorded, and I'll not invent one for a landrace this old; the record simply does not carry it. Expect the clean, unadorned character of high-altitude Himalayan stock rather than anything engineered for the palate, but I'll leave the specifics to the plant, since the record is silent on them.
