Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Red River Delta crossed with Master Kush, a pure Indica that turns red and deep purple as flowering advances — properly named, given the psychedelic reputation of her namesake brew. Pungent, nutty, and fruity on the nose, she delivers a sleepy, relaxed, euphoric finish, and her short stature makes her forgiving of most growing environments.

Where it comes from

Red River Delta crossed with Master Kush, a pure indica from Barney's Farm that turns red and deep purple as flowering advances, which makes the name rather apt given the psychedelic reputation of the Amazonian brew it borrows. Small in stature and easy to handle, she suits every level of grower and most environments, from a guerrilla patch to a commercial room. A colourful, well-behaved indica with a knowing name.

Nose & flavour

Pungent at the front, with a nutty depth and a fruity sweetness behind, a fuller, rounder aroma than her compact size might suggest. The colours that develop late in flowering are matched by a bouquet that deepens as she matures. A rich, indica-typical nose, and a persuasive one. Full, warm, and true to her Kush parentage.

The high

Sleepy, relaxed and euphoric, a settling, comfortable experience true to her pure-indica make-up, the sort that draws you gently towards the armchair. At 21% THC with 1.4% CBD there is real weight behind it, so keep her for the evening. You won't be needed elsewhere afterwards, and won't much regret it either.

Growing it

A short, manageable plant of 90 to 100cm, easy to train and resistant to disease and pests, which is what makes her suit everything from a hidden outdoor plot to a commercial grow. She finishes in 55 to 65 days indoors, or 8 to 10 weeks, and by the end of September outdoors, for a heavy 650 g/m² or around 500g per plant. A forgiving, generous, colourful plant that asks little and returns a great deal. A sound choice at any level.
