How to grow Power Bud
Taste
Seb's take
Big Bud supplies the sheer bulk, Power Plant the sativa lift needed to stop the whole affair collapsing into couch-lock. Pungent, earthy, and skunky on the nose; the high is strong, cerebral, and firmly physical in equal parts. Rock-hard buds, easy to trim, and no trouble to grow despite the strength on offer.
Where it comes from
Blackskull Seeds build this on Big Bud, first developed in the United States, then refined in the Netherlands, and temper it with Power Plant's sativa lift. Big Bud alone tends toward the couch, so the Power Plant genetics are there specifically to balance it, keeping the whole affair from collapsing into pure heaviness. The result is a 60 percent indica that yields like its bulky parent while staying more manageable in effect. A deliberate correction, well judged.
Nose & flavour
The nose is pungent and earthy with a firm skunk overtone, a classic, unfashionable aroma that the Big Bud and Power Plant lineage delivers without apology. There is nothing sweet or fruity to soften it; this is old-school funk, and it fills a room. Rock-hard, crystal-covered buds carry the scent well. Loud and earthy from grinder to exhale.
The high
The effect is strong on both fronts, a clear cerebral lift alongside a firm, relaxing body settle, the two halves of the lineage each making themselves felt. It stays euphoric and composed rather than sinking entirely, the Power Plant sativa earning its place. Across its stated 15 to 20 percent THC it delivers more punch than the numbers suggest. Balanced company, and stronger than it looks.
Growing it
An easy, rewarding grow, the plant stays a medium 70 to 110cm and flowers in 50 to 60 days for a dependable 550 g/m², with what the record calls unlimited potential outdoors. The buds come rock-hard and crystal-covered, and are easy to trim for all their density. Little here troubles a careful grower; feed it steadily and it returns weight without fuss. A forgiving plant that punches above its modest reputation.
