Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Named for Ol' Dirty Bastard of the Wu-Tang Clan, and Exodus Cheese crossed with Biker Kush honours him with the same disregard for convention. Dense, glistening colas thick with fragrant resin make this indica-heavy hybrid a natural for hash or BHO, at the cost of a 9-11 week wait. A strain, like its namesake, difficult to ignore.

Where it comes from

Karma Genetics built this as a personal tribute to Ol' Dirty Bastard of the Wu-Tang Clan, out of Staten Island; the name is no accident, and the plant honours it with a fitting disregard for convention. Exodus Cheese, a legendary clone, was crossed with the version 1.0 Biker Kush male to produce an indica-heavy hybrid of some complexity. The Cheese lends the funk, the Biker Kush the backbone. A strain, like its namesake, not easily ignored and not much interested in your convenience.

Nose & flavour

The record sets down no precise tasting notes, but it does insist on a powerful odour, and the Exodus Cheese in the mix argues loudly for funk. Fragrant resin heads coat the buds thickly. This is not a discreet plant on the nose; it announces itself, and the Cheese heritage makes that boast credible. On the finer detail, trust your own senses over my deduction.

The high

On the experience the record trades in adjectives rather than specifics, complex and intense, the sort of strain said to impress even an experienced hand. At 20% THC, with an indica-heavy build behind it, it points toward the weightier end of things. But with no effect notes recorded, Seb will let the plant speak for itself rather than put words in its mouth. Approach it prepared to be occupied.

Growing it

Well-branching and generous, yielding medium to high after a patient nine to eleven weeks of flower, 63 to 77 days. Height goes unrecorded, so judge her by habit: a branchy, productive plant that fills out rather than towers. The chief draw is the resin. Glistening, dense colas thick with fragrant, sticky heads make her a natural for dry sift, bubble hash or BHO, this is a strain for the extractor as much as the smoker. She will gum up your scissors thoroughly, so keep them clean as you were taught.
