Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A second backcross to Hells Angel OG, with Lucifer OG in the mix — the lineage reads rather more outlaw than the mellow result suggests. Citrus, lemon, and pine over a sour edge, the high runs calming, creative, and happy, with a viny, stretchy growth habit straight from her OG Kush roots.

Where it comes from

A second backcross to Hells Angel OG, with Lucifer OG folded in — and one of Karma Genetics' own favourites. The lineage reads a great deal more outlaw than the mellow result delivers: angels and devils on the family tree, and a plant the breeder likens to a good red wine. Backcrossing this way concentrates the OG Kush character, and it shows in both the yield and the flavour.

Nose & flavour

Bright and sharp — lemon and citrus up front over a sour edge, with pine keeping it resinous and a general fruitiness rounding the middle. It is the classic OG register, zesty and clean, with enough tartness to keep it lively. A characterful nose, and true to the Kush stock behind it.

The high

At twenty-three to twenty-five per cent this is a potent one, though the effect stays sociable rather than flattening — calming and relaxing with a creative, happy lift, and an appetite arriving in short order. The red-wine comparison is apt: rich, unhurried, and best sipped rather than gulped. A sipping strain, not a session one.

Growing it

The record keeps the numbers to itself on height and yield, so temperament must guide you. She grows viny and stretchy, straight from her pure OG Kush roots, which means training and support pay dividends — let her sprawl unchecked and she will. Flowering is on the longer side, sixty-three to seventy-seven days, so this is a patient grow. Heavy on yield by the breeder's account, once you have given her the structure to carry it.
