Seb Silverback

Found originally as a phenotype of Tahoe OG, SFV OG Kush has since become the backbone of countless modern varieties — earthy, piney, pungent, with a lemon edge. Thick-stemmed and vigorous, she rewards a Screen of Green and a watchful eye during the pre-flower stretch. The high is relaxed, happy and creative, a proper OG through and through.

Where it comes from

Found originally as a phenotype of Tahoe OG, SFV OG Kush was feminised by Cali Connection through crossing a reversed male back to a female of the same line — a self-preservation of sorts. It has since become the backbone of countless modern varieties, one of those foundational cuts whose fingerprints are all over the catalogue. The Afghani in the cross lends weight to what is otherwise a thoroughbred OG, and the pedigree on both sides carries some standing.

Nose & flavour

Earthy and piney, with a pungent depth and a lemon edge cutting across the top, plus a woody note underneath to ground it. It is a proper OG nose — savoury, fuel-adjacent, dense — with the citrus lift keeping it from sitting too heavy. The sort of aroma that has become a reference point precisely because so many later strains borrowed from it. Classic, in the truest sense.

The high

Relaxed and happy, with a euphoric, uplifted lift and a creative streak running through — a properly rounded OG effect rather than a one-note sit-down. It settles you without switching off the mind, leaving room for a bit of creativity alongside the calm. A well-balanced high from a foundational strain, the kind that reminds you why the OG family became the reference it did in the first place.

Growing it

Not as hard as its reputation suggests, the record maintains. These are thick-stemmed, vigorous plants, so short vegetative times serve them well — and, as with every OG, keep a close eye on the infamous pre-flower stretch. She benefits from a Screen of Green, which is the surest way to maximise the overall yield. Flowering runs 56 to 63 days at 20 percent THC with 1 percent CBD. Height and yield go unrecorded, so train her to the screen and let the canopy, rather than a tape measure, be your guide.
