How to grow OG Kush Fast Version
Taste
Seb's take
OG Kush, crossed with an unnamed 'Secret Hybrid' and sped up considerably — budding begins early and wraps in around eight weeks. Wood, diesel and citrus on the nose; happy, energetic and creative, with indica dominance showing through in both growth and character. One of many descendants OG Kush never seems to run out of.
Where it comes from
OG Kush is popular enough in its own right, but it has also served as the foundation for a great many hybrids and revamps, this fast-flowering version among them. EGS crossed it with an unnamed 'Secret Hybrid', the sort of politely undisclosed parentage the OG Kush family seems to attract, and bred the result to bud early and finish quickly. The indica dominance survives the acceleration, showing through in both the growth pattern and the character of the high. One more descendant from a line that never seems to run short of them.
Nose & flavour
Wood and diesel to lead, the fuel-forward, resinous signature of the Kush line, with citrus cutting through to keep it from turning purely industrial. A robust, savoury nose rather than a sweet one, sharp at the edges. It carries the family's gassy character plainly, brightened just enough by the citrus to stay interesting on the exhale.
The high
An unexpectedly lively high for so indica-leaning a plant, happy, energetic and creative, more up than down. At 27% THC, though, the energy comes with genuine weight behind it, so approach it as you would a staircase in the dark. Best treated as a sipping strain rather than a session one: a little goes a considerable distance, and the creativity is worth arriving at unhurried.
Growing it
The whole point of this version is speed: it transitions to budding early and finishes in around eight weeks, 55 to 60 days. A medium plant at roughly 140cm, it stays manageable, with indoor yields near 550 g/m² and an unusually high 2% CBD alongside the potent THC. A sensible choice for a grower wanting the OG Kush character without the full wait, and forgiving enough of the tape measure to suit most rooms. Quick, tidy, and considerably stronger than its timeline lets on.
