Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Purple Punch and Clementine, dialled to forty per cent indica for a shorter, more productive flowering run without losing the lift. Sweet orange and citrus on the nose; the high stays happy, euphoric and energetic throughout. Easy enough for indoor or outdoor growing alike.

Where it comes from

Herbies took Purple Punch and Clementine and dialled the result to forty per cent indica, deliberately, to shorten the flowering run and lift the yield without surrendering the tropical lift that gives the line its name. Clementine supplies the citrus, Purple Punch the productive backbone. A feminized sativa-leaning hybrid, engineered for the grower as much as the smoker, and none the worse for the tinkering.

Nose & flavour

Sweet orange and citrus, front and centre, exactly what the Clementine parent would suggest and exactly what the name has always promised. It is bright and juicy on the nose, the sort of profile that reads as tropical without trying too hard. Clean citrus over sweetness, easy to like and hard to mistake for anything else.

The high

The high stays happy, euphoric and energetic from start to finish, no late slump into the sofa. This is a daytime companion, the lift held steady throughout rather than spiking and fading. The indica added for productivity does not drag the experience down; it keeps its sativa character bright and sociable. Cheerful company that does not overstay its welcome.

Growing it

She reaches 90 to 110cm, a manageable medium, and takes 63 to 70 days in flower. Yields run generous, 750 to 850 g/m², with THC noted at 28 to 30%, so there is real substance to reward the wait. The record is clear that she grows easily both indoors and out, which makes her forgiving of a grower still finding their feet. A straightforward plant with a heavy return and no temperamental streak to speak of. Give her the standard care and she gives you plenty back.
