How to grow LSD Auto
Taste
Seb's take
Named for the drug, though the effects, the breeder is careful to note, aren't quite that — a 30/70 indica-leaning cross of LSD and Super Magnum Auto, short and stocky with huge, spear-shaped, resin-packed colas. Sweet, mango and earth on the nose, and a high that's relaxed, creative and calming, unusually profound for something so grounded.
Where it comes from
Barney's Farm crossed LSD with Super Magnum Auto to make this 30/70 sativa-to-indica autoflower — named for the drug, though the effects, the breeder is careful to note, aren't quite that. The indica tilt shows in both the growth and the nature of the high. Short-statured plants that form huge, spear-shaped colas packing plenty of weight and potent, pungent resin. The name promises theatre; the plant delivers substance.
Nose & flavour
Sweet at the top, with mango brightening it and earth grounding the base — a fruity, rounded profile that leans dessert rather than fuel, the mango note lifting an otherwise grounded nose. The resin is potent and pungent-smelling, so it does not travel discreetly. Bright and full at once, the sweetness and the earth meeting comfortably in the middle.
The high
Relaxed, creative and calming — the effects aren't exactly those of the psychedelic drug, the record repeats, but they do reach the mind as well as the body and offer an unusually profound experience. A grounded lift with a thoughtful edge, in other words, rather than the hallucinatory promise of the name. Settled company that keeps something turning over.
Growing it
Flowering runs 65 to 70 days, the plant staying short and stocky at 90cm, with a heavy 650 g/m² yield and THC recorded at 23%, alongside 1.3% CBD. The short-statured frame forms huge, spear-shaped colas that pack a lot of weight and plenty of resin, so support may be welcome as they fill. The compact habit and fixed autoflower clock make her manageable and efficient. A lot of dense, resinous harvest from a small, quick plant.
