Where it comes from
Strawberry Kush crossed with Sour Diesel by Barney's Farm - a sixty-per-cent sativa carefully weighted to borrow an indica's hardiness, speed and generosity while keeping a sativa's manners in the smoke. Two beloved classics, and the record is plain that the balance is deliberate rather than accidental. Strawberry sweetness meets diesel fuel; the cross became popular for good reason, and popularity here is earned rather than marketed.
Nose & flavour
Sweet up front - the Strawberry Kush side - with a pungent, gassy edge from the Sour Diesel and an earthy base beneath. The record's own phrase is gassy-fruity, which captures the tension neatly: fruit and fuel in the same breath. A nose that pulls in two directions and is the better for it. Loud enough to notice, sweet enough to enjoy.
The high
Twenty-two to twenty-four per cent THC behind a bright, good-humoured high - euphoric and creative, in a fine mood throughout, with a relaxed underpinning that keeps it from turning frantic.
