How to grow Lost Coast Skunk Auto
Taste
Seb's take
An autoflowering version of the old Lost Coast Skunk line, crossed onto Ruderalis and staying compact at 75-100cm. She shrugs off pests, disease and bad weather alike, forgiving of enthusiasm, and finishes in just 60-65 days with a modest, honest 11-14% THC.
Where it comes from
Humboldt took the old Lost Coast Skunk line and crossed it onto Ruderalis, which turned an already stable and well-liked Skunk into an autoflowering one. An 80/20 indica hybrid, the record has it, built to keep the character of the parent while adding the convenience of a fixed clock. The Skunk supplies the pedigree; the Ruderalis supplies the timing and a good deal of the toughness.
Nose & flavour
The record keeps the flavour notes to itself, so I will not invent them for you. What it does dwell on is her constitution rather than her nose — the profile here is a Skunk heritage steadied by Ruderalis, and best judged in the growing rather than described in advance. Expect the family character; take the particulars as they come.
The high
No effect notes are recorded, and I will not put words in the plant's mouth. What can be said is what the potency implies: an 80/20 indica at a modest 11 to 14% THC is honest about what it is — an easygoing, undemanding effect rather than an overwhelming one. Gentle company, in keeping with a strain bred for approachability over intensity.
Growing it
Here she earns her keep. Small in stature at 75 to 100cm, she suits both indoor and outdoor gardens, and shows great resistance to pests, disease and unfavourable weather alike — forgiving of enthusiasm, and well suited to a first grow. She takes well to all types of training and throws a few strong side branches carrying large, compact buds from top to bottom. Finishing in just 60 to 65 days from sprouting, with yields of 25 to 60 g/m² and THC of 11 to 14%.
